AESTHETIC MEDICINE

It is a dynamically developing clinical specialty that draws on dermatology, surgery, endocrinology, and cosmetology. It largely focuses on skin aging, as well as correcting a broad range of aesthetic imperfections stemming from various causes—such as scars, stretch marks, and cellulite—that can lead to discomfort with one’s appearance. Aesthetic medicine, unlike plastic surgery, relies solely on non-surgical procedures. These treatments do not require hospitalization and are performed on an outpatient basis.

Eliminating expression lines using botulinum toxin (commonly known as Botox)

This substance inhibits the release of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter responsible for transmitting impulses to muscle cells. As a result, the muscles relax and weaken, smoothing out any wrinkles that have formed on the skin. The procedure involves several shallow injections with a thin needle, takes only a short time, and is virtually painless.

Filling Wrinkles and Lines

Filling wrinkles and lines using hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a substance that naturally occurs in the human body as a sodium salt (sodium hyaluronate). Its primary function is to bind water. One molecule of hyaluronic acid can bind up to 250 water molecules, which helps maintain proper skin hydration. When the level of hyaluronic acid in the skin decreases, collagen fibers degenerate, resulting in dry, sagging skin and the appearance of wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid is safe and does not trigger allergic reactions, making it the most commonly used and versatile filler. During a procedure aimed at reducing crow’s feet, forehead wrinkles, and nasolabial or marionette lines, low- or medium-density hyaluronic acid is injected. The treatment involves a few shallow injections with a thin needle, so it’s quick and virtually painless. Hyaluronic acid smooths wrinkles for about 6–8 months. After that period, the product is fully absorbed, and the procedure can be repeated.

Lip Augmentation

Lip augmentation with hyaluronic acid. The most natural and safest filler is cross-linked hyaluronic acid. The amount of product administered can be 1 ml, 2 ml, or 3 ml, determined during consultation based on the desired result. The lip augmentation effect typically lasts about 12 months, after which the substance is fully absorbed by the body. A special dental anesthetic can be used beforehand, making the procedure entirely painless and more comfortable for the patient.

Double Chin Reduction

Double chin reduction using needle mesotherapy. Needle mesotherapy is highly effective for reducing a double chin. The treatment involves injecting specialized preparations into the skin, which accelerate fat burning and improve skin firmness. Apart from the active substances themselves, the act of puncturing the skin (from dozens to even hundreds of small injections) also plays a significant role in achieving the result.

Excessive Sweating Treatment

Treating hyperhidrosis with botulinum toxin. Sweating is one of the body’s natural methods of releasing heat. People with excessive sweating produce more sweat than needed to regulate body temperature. Hyperhidrosis most commonly affects the armpits, groin, feet, and hands. Treatment involves locally injecting the sweat glands with a botulinum toxin preparation. The toxin blocks nerve endings, causing the glands to produce significantly less sweat. This effect lasts several months, and another dose can only be administered once the previous dose has completely worn off.
