PSYCHOLOGIST

A child psychologist is not only occupied with severe clinical “cases”, often being a person who can present family situations seeming to be extremely difficult from a different perspective – from the perspective of developmental needs and abilities of a child and parents. This would make the behaviour of individual family members more understandable and acceptable, and everyday family relations more satisfying. A visit to a psychologist is recommended in order to provide aid to a child having such problems as:

  • problems at school,
  • problems in peer relations,
  • oppositional-defiantbehaviour,
  • family conflicts,
  • sleep disorders,
  • behaviour disorders,
  • neurotic disorders,
  • personality disorders,
  • eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia),
  • mood disorders (depression),
  • anxiety disorders and phobias,
  • post-traumatic stress disorders.
